EU and RSC shared data and information system - Phase 1

Specific contract - Development of a shared data and information system between the EU and the Regional Sea Conventions - Phase 1

Review the data/information (which is of relevance to MSFD) and the associated data flow mechanisms between MS and RSCs and develop a plan to establish a shared data and information sharing mechanism between RSC and EU levels, through a common data model, in order to streamline reporting by MS to RSC and EU levels. Start to implement elements of the plan for OSPAR and HELCOM.

Assessment methodology for MPA network supporting GES

Specific contract - Development of an assessment methodology for coherent and representative MPA network in support of GES

The study should develop a harmonised methodology for the evaluation of the coherence, adequacy and representativity of the EU networks of MPAs by the Commission services bearing in mind previous work carried out by ETCs for the assessment of the N2000 designations.

Mapping and Assessment of marine ecosystem services and link to GES - Phase 1

Specific Contract - Mapping and Assessment of marine ecosystem services and link to good environmental status - Phase 1

The study will review, test and refine existing methodologies developed for MAES in the context of the EU Biodiversity Strategy, further develop them, and link them to the MSFD and its implementation.
